For detailed instructions on mix preparation, please refer to my FAQ page. In general, I can work with any unlimited, lossless file that isn’t clipping. To ensure the best results, avoid mix buss processing solely for loudness purposes, and triple-check your audio for any bounce errors before uploading it.
My rate includes a CD-quality 16-bit / 44.1 kHz WAV file, as well as a 24-bit version at the native sample rate. Most distributors now accept higher-quality formats like 24-bit / 48 kHz or higher. Additionally, I provide a reference MP3 with every master for convenient sharing and listening.
When working with Apple Digital Masters your source material should be recorded and mixed at the highest bit depth and sample rate possible. Some distributors such as DistroKid, TuneCore, and CD Baby openly support ADM but if you’re using a different distributor you should ask them if they work with this format. When I deliver your masters I will provide my unique authentication key which compatible distributors can use to ensure the files are played back correctly.
If you plan to have your masters pressed to compact disc, most reputable pressing plants will accept a DDPi production master. This file format contains all the necessary information for CD creation, including your mastered audio, precise track spacing, naming, and song order. A DDPi ensures accuracy and prevents errors during the replication process.
For vinyl, having a dedicated pre-master specifically tailored for vinyl cutting addresses the medium’s physical limitations. This provides the cutting engineer with an optimized master for creating a high-quality record.
If you are sending an album or EP for mastering, please provide the correct song order along with their exact titles, including proper spelling and capitalization. If any songs overlap, are gapless, or require specific spacing, fade-ins, or fade-outs, be sure to include detailed notes with timestamps for clarity.
If you’d like to share your previously released music or reference tracks that inspire you, feel free to include streaming links. My job is to help you achieve your creative vision, so let me know if you have a specific vibe, loudness target, or any other artistic goals in mind.
Please note: Alternate mixes must be submitted simultaneously with the main mix. Separate submissions will be billed at full price. Full payment is required before mastering begins.
A maximum of 3 free revisions are permitted per song. Additional revisions will incur standard pricing. Mix revisions requiring re-mastering are billed at 50% of the initial price
Upon submission of this form, I will contact you within 24 hours with mix feedback, a scheduled master delivery date, and an invoice via email.
